Socially-Compliant Behavior for Autonomous Driving
Bringing human-like decision making to autonomous driving.
Our goal is to create algorithms for autonomous vehicles that incorporate variations in human driver personalities. Using tools from social and behavior psychology to autonomous driving, we incorporate the human driver's preferences into our optimization framework for socially-compliant, human-like behaviors. We demonstrate these techniques in a variety of traffic scenarios, illustrating how the autonomous vehicle adapts to different human drivers as needed.
